ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Beautiful route of high landscape value that runs along the local coast and the visit Cape Vidio, as well as the three beaches that are located between Cudillero and said cape. The route begins at our campsite, from which we will take and walk the Camino de Santiago to the town of Soto de Luiña. The arrival in this town along the way is done by a somewhat technical path, which will make some suffer and others enjoy. This descent can be replaced by a road descent if at km 8.4 you take the N-632a (local road with little traffic) going uphill to then descend to Soto de Luiña. Once there, we ascend to Oviñana along a road with a short but steep slope. We cross the town until we find an incredible trail that takes us close to the cliff, being able to contemplate impressive views. Arrived at the cape, you can only contemplate the impressive views that can be seen from there: cliffs that fall vertically towards the sea. We recommend leaving your bikes behind and going around the cape on foot to be able to see these cliffs up close. It is a step without danger but with an imposing balcony, not suitable for those who suffer so much vertigo.

The return is made by the same trail of the cape by which we arrived. Once in the town, we descend along the track towards the beach of San Pedro de la Ribera. Take a beautiful trail parallel to the river that flows into it and continue ascending along the road towards Salamir, where you take a track that descends towards the little-frequented Oleiros beach, which can be seen from above. After a short but hard slope, we reach Lamuño, where we first go down the road and then along the trail to La Concha de Artedo beach. Here we can make a short stop and have a drink at the Casa Miguel restaurant, if it is open. Afterwards, we walk along the footbridge that runs parallel to the beach and we go up the road towards Las Dueñas. From there, a last short slope awaits us to take the Camino de Santiago again to our campsite.
