SIERRA DE LOS VIENTOS AND LLAN DE CUBEL

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

We leave our campsite by road until we reach Las Dueñas, where we take the Camino de Santiago that descends to Artedo. From there, we take a forest track that climbs the Sierra de los Vientos towards our objetive: the Llan de Cubel. This track begins with a stretch of steep slopes and soon after it relaxes its slope towards 6-8% continuous. On the top, at the foot of the Llan de Cubel, we can leave the bikes and walk up the last slope until we reach the summit and enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the Asturian western coast.

The return is made by almost the same track that has been climbed, thus enjoying a long descent down the track to Artedo. Once there, it only remains to go up the road and on the way to our campsite.
